Offered are 18 unaddressed Franklin Mint 1978 Postmasters of America Medallic First Day Covers. Each medal is a Limited Edition Proof , 39 mm in diameter, struck in Sterling Silver (.925 fine) with a nice mirror and frosted finish. Each cover comes with a card describing the event being commemorated, the medal, and the corresponding commemorative stamp. Also included is an original Franklin Mint screw-post binder with display pages. Each medal weights 350 grains or .729 troy ounces; tfore, the set contains an actual silver weight (ASW) of 12.13 troy ounces. Silver has been hovering around $13.00 per ounce; tfore, these medals contain $157.69 worth of silver. Scan shows only one of the covers included. I purchased each of these covers in their year of issue and they have been locked away since then.
