18 ORIGINAL JAPANESE INTERNMENT CAMP PHOTOS TULE LAKE

This is for one lot of original photographs. The first ebay image shows 5 photos, two of the five are marked W.R.A Bus. Adv. on the back (War relocation Authority). the other three are marked 'War Relocation Authority, photo location: Tule Lake Relocation Center, Newell California' and all are dated 1943. One says 'A pleasant sunday afternoon's recreation is spent by ******* winter sports enthusiests on the slopes of Castle Mountain.....'. One photo shows a young man with a neck tie playing baseball. The second ebay image shows what looks like WRA related photos but none are marked on the back. One is of the 1945 basketball champs, Brownies, one is another snow scene, looking down on the camp (very similar to that photo in ebay image one). Another shows two young women with rusacks mugging for the camera. Another shows a gloomy looking Japanese family (the back is marked Gunji Watanabe Photography, Stockton Calif). Another shows a group of young men and some women posing outside a building that says Community Activities. Another shows the same scene, but a group of mostly young women with some men. Another shows a military officer (w. Buck Simon) at his desk with a young Japanese secretary and some other people. One shows a view looking down on the camp. the last one shows two men, one Japanese, posing in front of a bus. The bus is marked SPECIAL and has a 1942 Oregon License plate. The third ebay image shows what looks like a fancy Japanese dinner. Not sure if these last are related to the first and second images but all these photos were found together so I assume they are. You are bidding on all the photos shown and described, all 18 of them. These are being sold as historical documents. All photos are used so tfore may be less than perfect. Some have tape or glue residue from being mounted in an album. Buyer to please pay $5.25 priority delivery and handling in the US. (New USPS postal shipping rate).
