Up for auction is the highly rare, sought after set of 18 pieces of the Fire King Rainbow set of dishes. The dinner plates measure 9 1/4"; cups 4" wide and one is not perfectly round; saucers measure 5 1/2" wide. First of all, the following is the visual condition of these pieces when they are being used on the table. ALL of them have some minor loss of flashing! But please remember shown in the light they show more problems that are not seen in a natural setting. The orange plate that was held up to the light is the worst one. On the table it still looks decent. The rest of them when held up to the light all show paint loss around the rims some minor loss in different areas. The strange thing about this table setting of six, is that t are VERY few silverware marks. The set appears to have had little use and they are all nice and glossy. I truly feel that the majority of the paint loss is from stacking and storing them improperly without paper in between them. T are no chips or cracks. Two pieces have a raise that was done during their making. One orange saucer shows medium visual loss of paint. The plates show minimal loss(remember, in natural setting). The cups and saucers are just gorgeous with a very small amount of visual loss of paint. I guarantee my auctions! In my opinion,I would rate dishes as a seven to eight! One can look at it this way; why not actually use and enjoy them and not worry about damaging them! I only charge actual shipping fees. The set weighs 12 pounds unpacked.
