1800's Double Wood & Iron Pulley & Hanging Hook. The double pulley is 12 ¾" long x 4 3/4 "wide x 3" ½" across. The two steel wheels are 3". T have been no alterations or replacements to the original design. The face has a round metal plate embossed with a Star also with worn wording I cannot read. Stamped into the wood block is the letter C and number 51. The wood body is held together with 4 iron pins, it has some age cracks. The Large Iron hanging hook is held on with double metal straps fasten inside the. This pulley is in good condition when you consider the years of use. A very fine example of early American craftsmanship.
