is a simply gorgeous and harder to find, early Empire footstool, with a beauiful flame mahogany veneer on it, and turned legs. It is in good condition, shows some missing veneer, and has a new needlepoint style tapestry fabric covering it in a black based, Victorian floral design. A very refined and simple, yet elegant, piece of antique 19c furniture. All original, except for the fabric covering. Uses two wooden pegs to secure the top, which only fits one way....perfect for a patterned early piece of true embroidered fabric. Measures 9-1/2" x 13-1/2", with a height of 8" with the cushion, and 6-1/2" without. I haven't seen another on Ebay like it!!
