Offered is this antique cast iron pan (or pot) dating to the 1800s. It has not markings, but the family recalled its long "chain of command". This, and a number of other items I am listing this week are from a Michigan farm estate. T is surface corrosion on this, some pitting common to old cast iron pieces. I do not have time to "season" the cast iron pieces I find, but I will not list them unless they have many more years use in them. This piece holds 6 cups liquid filled to the rim.A great find for your Hoosier-style/primitive kitchen, camp/chuckwagon/civil war re-enactment cooking. Measures 10" in diameter, and nearly 3" deep. While at this site, please take a peek at the other vintage items I have listed. SHIPPING: I offer economy OR priority shipping (always your choice), and do not believe in charging "handling" fees, or "hidden" fees. I do offer combined shipping as well. Bidders pay for ACTUAL US POSTAL FEES only. At the same time, if you decline to pay for insurance or delivery confirmation, you do so at your own peril. Please do not look for me to absorb that expense. I will not. On those few occasions when I REQUIRE priority shipping, tracking and insurance for rare, breakable items , bidders are notified in clear, readable print beforehand. No surprises. PAYMENT NEWS! As of July 2006 I began accepting electronic payments
