This rare find is a treasure! This working and functional 1880’s oil lamp witha wonderful shade is outstanding!!! The lamp shade wasmade by Hobbs, Brockunien & Company of Wheeling, West Virginia. The shade style is called roller coaster . The shade is hand- blown Hobb Nail. The lamp’s color is custard yellow and has absolutely wonderful imperfections in the glass dating back to the time of manufacturing. These imperfections present themselves as black streaks. This shade is extremely difficult to find and if If you could find this one you would be shocked at the price of it alone!! The base of the lamp is from the late 1800’s and is copper with a brass base that is in working condition The lamp has a flame spreader for its wick. The cap has a few age dents on it but this should be expected for a lamp of this age. We have tried but are unable to ascertain the maker of the base. This base is in its original condition and has patina marks which only add to its individuality. We have not polished or cleaned the lamp as we leave any sort of restoration up to the buyer. The lamp stands a bit over 21" tall. We have adjusted the price to assist those who attempted to purchase prior. Please note that we ship internationally also.
