Hi. You are viewing an OUTSTANDING floral hand hooked rug from the 1800's. The colors are fabulous as is the fantastic design. The rug is alternating blocks of geometics and flowers and measures approximately 52" x 35". Considering the age of the rug, the colors are vivid and vibrant. The binding has deteriorated over the years and t are places on the rug that need to be stitched along seams. The rug belonged to a very wealthy oil heiress and was passed down in her family for generations. Her estate is now being liquated which will provide some lucky buyer with a wonderful treasure that is rarely found even at high end antique shows or shops. The rug has been very well cared for over the years, and was kept in a glass display case in the estate of the owner.
