I recentley attained from one estate a large collection of outstanding antique elephant figurines dating from the late 1800s to turn of the century. I am selling the collection in two lots. This lot is for 14 beautiful antique elephants. The original collector seemed to seek out white elephants which symbolize good luck. The largest of the collection is a antique hand carved solid green Jade elephant. It is finely detailed and well carved. This measures 4 inches wide by 3 inches high. T are 4 antique glass elephants with 2 of them being hand made out of blue glass. T are 2 antique metal elephants, and a wonderful pottery elephant and a old porcelain elephant. 2 of the elephants are made of old plastic. The rarest of the collection are 2 finely hand carved white stone elephants. Featuring a mother and her baby, carved out of solid white stone. This is the first time I have ever come across such a old collection of figurines with all of them being over 100 years old!
