This is an early circa 1896 restaurant plate. It is from The Original Fabacher's Restaurant and Hotel New Orleans, LA which later the Monteleone Hotel. The propriter was Anthony Fabacher The back of the plate bears a mark from 1896 which is VITRIFIED JOHN MADDOCK & SONS ENGLAND It measures 7 inches in diameter and may be a large saucer or salad plate. It has utensil wearand tiny rust spots but no cracks or chips and is in EXCELLENT Condition for its age. This is a 3 DAYS ONLY AUCTION with NO RESERVE!
