You are purchasing a nice antique German bible by Johann Arndt. I can't decipher the date on this book but based on my knowledge of working with these books, I would say its from 1800-1840. It was a family bible and the original owner wrote inside the cover her marriage and births of her children. Its pig skin cover is in overall ok shape with a small tear in the spine as shown in the photos. The two pig skin straps that hold the book firmly closed are missing. I have also noticed that one page (page 311) has been torn out. This book is extremely large with over 1200 pages! There are also probably 50 different pictures in the book as shown in the photo.
