1800's JOHN BROWNING HAND HELD SPECTROSCOPE + ORIG CASE Midwest is happy to offer you a very special and rare find - an antique spectroscope. This antique instrument was crafted by John Browning of London, the leading manufacturer scientific instruments during the 1800's. This piece was most likely made in the 1880's, and is a fine example of a spectroscope, which breaks light into a full colored spectrum that can lead to an analysis of a source's compostition. This piece comes in its original leather and satin-lined box and is in incredibly good condition! Size: 3.6" long Weight: 4 oz (instrument only) Maker: John Browning Marks: "John Browning, 37 Southampton Street, London,W.C., England" Condition: Excellent! appears to work perfectly, comes in original leather case that has minor wear, but latch works fine.
