Please read all text and terms and be sure to super size the photos below. This auction offers you the opportunity to bid on a really cool antique dinging table. It is a very old solid oak drop leaf table that expands from a 42.5" table by 27" table that can be used as a console wall table with the leaves down and can be extended to a 53" by 42.5" round that expands all the way out to 111" long by 42.5" wide. It can seat 12 to 15 people with all of the five leaves inserted. It is all solid oak with wide oak boards. It stands on five grooved channel turned legs typical of old Pa design in the mid to late 1800's. The finish is a very old dark finish with plenty of wear and scarring. The wood is great solid oak. One of the legs has some old green paint on it. It is a sturdy well crafted table that will last many more years beyond its current age of about 125-150 years old.Old school hand craftedmanship from the 1800's with tight mortise joined aprons & legs. It has a fabulous primitive look as is and could be used after cleaning and waxing. It could be restored to look pristine rather simply for a professional restorer if desired. The height from the floor is 30". I rarely find a table of this age that can extend to the length of this table. It is 9.25 feet long with all of the leaves inserted and can be used at a variety of size. T are four 48" leaves and one 10" leaf. It will be selling with an opening bid of $5 as do almost all of our auctions, with no reserve price set. Any bid can win! Sometimes, wood type is hard to identify with certainty on old pieces because of old finishes etc.. We try to describe to the best of our knowledge and ability, We are well experienced, but not experts in identifying wood species, and may or may not be correct in identifying actual wood species on some items.Please be sure to ask questions if you are uncertain about something.
