1800s OLD PARIS PORCELAIN WALL ARABIAN CHARGER A DUSSON Midwest is happy to offer you a unique, one-of-a-kind antique charger! This amazing find dates back to late 19th century France, where is was carefully crafted of fine white porcelain, glazed on both side, and painted with a fantastic, vivid scene of an Arabian hunt! The plaque is from the Old Paris era, when an artist would select a piece of blank "white ware" and then decorate it themselves. This piece was hand painted and signed by A. Dusson, a talented French artist of the era whose recent pieces have been going for up to $1700 at auction (for a set of two smaller plaques). Although many pieces of this time period are seen with portraits of ladies and courting couples, very rarely do we ever find something as unique and rare as this scene, which features two Arabs on a desert hunt, accompanied by a hound on their sunset venture. This charger is in stunning, near-mint condition with only minor wear from the prious wall hanger, and would be a fantastic piece to display in any home or collection!
