Antique handmade, hand carved big wheel or wool wheel spinning wheel turning tool with it's original old natural wood surface . Maine ,1800's, possibly earlier. Guaranteed old and original; this is not a fake or reproduction. Actual weight 1/4 lbs. 6 3/8" long by 1" diameter at the mushroom tip. Handmade hand carved hardwood big wheel or wool wheel spinning wheel turning tool in it's original old natural surface. Just wonderful, this simple tool is often brushed by but once held a role quite momentous in nearly every household. The sound of the big wheel turning, heard from elsew in the home, is commented on by many authors. The little clatter was the sound of this little tool turning the big wheel. They used their finger to turn it? No and they kept this tool in their pocket; the hand sewn tied-on ones with the slit in the front that collectors crave. If you have a pocket, you need to have this in it. Very good as found condition. It is in perfect condition . It has beautiful wear w it turned the wheel. This is the slight depression; a worn ring, is just below the mushroom top. It is visible in the photographs. This is a perfect specimen of a truly remarkable and singular tool. It has appropriate surface oxidation and very lightest estate soiling from is residence in an old Maine estate. Please see photographs. As found last weekend
