We are selling the contents of a scrap book of mostly victorian trade cards from the latter part of the 1800s . The book, which came from an estate in eastern Connecticut, was completely falling apart so we decided to sell the pages seperately, with the exception of one w t was a fireman series on two pages. These two pages are being sold together. T will be a total of 19 seperate auctions , so be sure to check them all out. We combine shipments w possible to save on postage.

* Approximately 180 individual pieces - mostly victorian trade cards, with a smattering of name cards, birds, butterflies, and flowers and possibly one or two magazine pictures

* All of the pieces have been glued completely onto the scrap book pages, but in those days, they used hide glue, so they can be soaked and removed fairly easy

* Because the cards are fully glued to the paper, we don't know what is printed on the back . Sometimes it's the only place you can find what the card is advertising

* The scrap book pages measure 9-1/4" by 11-1/2"

* The lithography is absolutely great on these pieces and the colors are rich and vibrant , with no fading that we can see. Occasional glare or bright spots are the effect of our camera and not on the piece unless otherwise indicated
