1801 Draped Bust Large Cent - XF 1/000 error coin 210 years old and is extremely rare because only 1,500 of these exist in XF or higher grades. This was a minting error: 1/000 instead of 1/100. Look at all the details on both sides: Obverse : clear hair lines, curls, bow, drape and Liberty. Reverse : All of the wording is clear, as well as buds, berries and bow. 1/000 at the bottom is also distinct as seen in the enlarged separate picture. It is valued at $3,400+ today and probably will increase in value over time. This is a very nice rare early American coin for anyones collection - enjoy bidding. On the obverse there appears to be a late die state with die break over the word "Liberty," and especially over the "R" The later die states are quite scarce and highly valued because few exist. VERY valuable due to the fraction error and late die state. Judge for yourself .
