(First American edition). Original full leather, gilt red leather spine label. 214 pages followed by (2) pages of advertisements. Front hinge split but cover still attached by cords. Small chip at top of spine, a larger chip to the bottom. Corners slightly bumped. Previous owner's signature in ink at top of page 13. (Chs. J. Patterson, perhaps). Complete with endpapers.
