1803 NC-01 US Large Cent. RARE VARIETY. When the authoritative Sheldon book was published, this variety was considered Not Collectible. Thus, the NC designation. Likely this coin is by far the most affordable NC Large Cent currently on the market !!!!!!!!!!!! Coin has issues as seen. Much wear especially on the obverse. Interesting oblong hole, a few porosity spots, and an edge "bevel" below the VERY weak, nearly illegible date. Had an old cleaning. Guaranteed to be an 1803 NC 1 coin OR possibly a super rare undiscovered variety. For more info, please read the Variety Attribution info at end of listing. Obverse is very weak. Most of portrait outline weakly seen. Hints only of date with proper lighting and tilt of coin. LIBERTY worn away. I have VERY FAINTLY seen 18 close together and well away from the curl. Reverse shows nearly complete wreath, ONE CENT, and numerator. More "hit and miss" detail. Very top of denominator very faintly seen and very wide. Position of OF not seen.
