This Pre-Victorian / Georgian 3 Diamond Old European Cut Diamond Ring is Simply Gorgeous! T are approximately .60 cttw of gorgeous old European cut diamonds in this fantastic & truly historic ring! The center European cut diamond is approximately .35 cttw with VS for clarity...a truly amazing stone with incredible clarity (absolutely no cloudiness at all or black carbon spots) and near colorless for color as I see absolutely no hint of any yellow. The side stones are approximately .12-.15 each with an estimated SI for clarity & near colorless for color...truly beautiful & clear stones. All diamonds are the Old European Cut which allows larger facets which in turn bring more light into the stone...reflecting the true clarity & beauty with amazing precision. The European Cuts also have more depth/higher crown's...which adds much more sparkle through prisms of light than do the more modern round cut diamonds. These diamonds have a unique personality...and it is truly a beautiful one! Total carat weight is approximately .60 cttw...on the conservative side. The beautiful side scroll designs is that only found in such Victorian/Georgian rings...a true mark of the ring's age & the artistry/elegance of that time. The ring has a nice medium weight to it of 3.9 grams...a sign of a very well made ring (not too light or too heavy). This ring is fully hallmarked. I did some research & is what I have found on this special ring. T is a crown which stands for England, an 18 which stands for 18k solid yellow gold, a sideways anchor which stands for Birmingham (Birmingham, England) and lastly the letter I which resembles a thicker one...I did match the letter & style of letter to the year 1809 (Letters w used to resemble dates). On the other side of the inside of the ring t are smaller markings. One says 424..which I do not know what this means. After which t seem to be some smaller symbols that are so small...I couldn't identify them with a magnifying glass (so sorry, but this would be a fun challenge to research for the buyer). This ring is truly in superb vintage condition for its very old age...the gold has polished up just like new. T seem to be some very tiny barely visible (almost microscopic) marks near the top of the curved gold design above & below the diamonds....they are very hard to see & can easily be buffed by your local jeweler....in fact I just thought it was a little of the reflection from the diamonds...you really have to look to see anything. A truly unique & beautiful find. Shipping costs include insurance, signature confirmation & packaging. I have excellent feedback...so please know that you are buying from a seller you can trust!
