ACTS PASSED AT THE SECOND SESSION OF THE TWELFTH CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES [1813] Originally issued in paper wraps and later bound into a book, this rare volume of United States Congressional Acts was published by authority. Now lacking covers or wraps with some leather still over spine. Pages with some browning and light staining; the binding is sound. (335)-457 pages plus Table of Contents (vi) and Index (lvii). James Madison was President, William H. Crawford was President of the Senate and Henry Clay was the Speaker of the House; with most of the documents are signed in type by them. Acts passed, mostly war measures, during the War of 1812, as well as acts pertaining to the Pirates along the Barbary Coast. CONTENTS Transmission of certain Documents Free of Postage .
