1816 Antique Block Plane Signed Chip Carved Decoration

Up for auction is an antique block plane with beautiful folk art chip carving decoration. The plane bears the date "1816" and has the stylized initials "ARA" , with the letter "R" also doubling as the letter "i" carved under the letter "M" (Maria?). It measures 28 ¾" long, 3 1/8" wide and 2 7/8 " high. T is chip carving on each side with circular patterns carved on the top. I do not know if the blade is original since it is tightly wedged in and I cannot remove it. I am not knowledgeable about makers of blades. This blade has a crown surrounded by 3 words. One word looks like "HELLER", one word looks like "GARANTIRT" and the other word I cannot decipher (see photograph). I did not want to force the blade out for fear of breaking something. The wedge which holds the blade is of a different type of wood than the plane and has some extinct wormwood. It is possible that this is also not original. It is obvious that the carpenter who used and decorated this block plane was very proud of it and it must have borne much sentiment, given the name "Maria".This attractive tool would complement any collection and if you're handy, I'm sure you could make this a good functioning plane.
