1818 EARLY AMERICAN CENTURY LETTER (Uncle?)THOMAS REMINGTON OF WARWICK, CONNECTICUT TO GEORGE REMINGTON OF TUNKHANNOCK, PENNSYVANIAStampless Folded Letter/Cover without Postmark. Letter dated November 1st , 1818. Transcriber's Notes: Often archaic spelling was retained, but not always. Please compare to original letter for any corrections (or lack of). Transcript;"To George Remington Tunkhannock State of Pennsylvania Mr. George Remington. Sir, I now take my pen in hand to inform you that we are all well at present, thanks be to God for it. I hope that these lines find you enjoying the same blessing. Your Mother is at our house and is well. Your father is in Conne(c)ticut and was well when your mother came from their(there). Voluntown in Conneticut. Dexter Is well and is grown now is possible in Rambling after the girls. They wish to be remembered to you and send their greatest wishes for your health and prosperity. Waterman and Family and Mr Phillips and family are all well at the last news from them. Your Mother wishes that you would write every opportunity if you are not coming down this fall, they received your letter dated in July last, and I received the one you wrote me and was very glad to hear from you and I think if you are not likely to receive your Wages in money, take Stock & horses if they are likely at a fare(fair) price. Likely oxen and horses fetch fare prices or is the best to bring to this market. Look out for your-self-in time the treat the man Well and use your own judgement. So nothing more at present, I remain your Friend. Warwick. November1st 1818.
