Fabulous scarce plate from the "Scriptural Series" by Enoch Wood & Sons. Circa 1825. Vivid dark blue color. This is a very hard to find series. Marked with the impressed "WOOD". T are 9 different views listed in our reference books. This view is of "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph". The border consists of four vignettes within acanthus scroll frames containing an open book, a cross, a lamb and a casket, separated by small flowers and berries. Nice detailed pattern. Condition is excellent. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The plate is nice and clean. The glaze is nice and shiny with little if any wear. Measures about 10 1/8". Excellent example from a very scarce and highly collectible series. BID WITH CONFIDENCE . All items sold as-is w-is. We are only responsible for the item while in our possession. We will not be held responsible for items lost or damaged during shipping. We will pack all items VERY WELL with bubble wrap and peanuts(furniture will be packed by the shipper). That is why ALL of the items purchased require insurance. In the unlikely event an item is damaged or lost by the mail/shipper we will work with you to help you file your claim, but the settlement will be between you and the carrier. Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements on furniture items. We do have the phone number/email address of a couple of good shippers and will forward this if needed.
