A Complete History of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Embracing The Whole Period From THE DISCOVERY OF NORTH AMERICA, Down To The Year 1820. In Three Volumes. By Frederick Butler, A.M. Publisher: Hartford: Printed for the Author. 1821. First Edition. Number of Volumes: 3 volumes complete. Binding: Original full leather bindings! Full calf with elaborate and bright gilt bands and decorations on spines! Leather retains a gorgeous patina and bright shine! Wear to the binding?: some rubbing/scuffing/chipping Are the hinges cracked?: All boards are well attached. A couple have old repairs. Any chipping?: someVolume Size: Volumes measure 8 1/2 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide! TEG (top edges of pages gilded): No, all exterior edges are dyed yellow! Foxing~ Is Text Clean?: . some foxing. light in some areas, a bit heavier in others~ for example, the title page of vol. I~ as shown. Endpapers: non-decorative. SHIPPING : All of our books are very carefully wrapped and packaged, and are only shipped in well-padded boxes.We never use flimsy mailers. We do not charge for handling. We strive to ship within a day or two of payment received, however t are occasions when unforeseen situations may arise, thus delaying shipment for an extra day or two. This rarely happens. All merchandise shipped within the United States will be shipped via FedEx Ground, insured, unless otherwise stated. FedEx does not ship to p.o. boxes, and so any shipment to a p.o. box will be sent via USPS media mail. Overseas shipments will be sent either USPS Express Mail or Priority Mail International. International surface mail is no longer offered. Combined shipping is always available.*IMPORTANT SHIPPING NOTE 9/2008: Since ebay has recently changed their shipping criteria, we have had to make adjustments as well. All of our domestic shipments will be automatically UPGRADED from UNINSURED PARCEL POST MAIL to FULLY INSURED FEDEX GROUND SHIPPING. So although the shipping calculator shows USPS Parcel Post, you will be receiving your package via FedEx Ground. However if a po box address is provided, the shipment will be sent Parcel Post since FedEx will only deliver to street addresses.RETURNS : All items are described as accurately and in as much detail as possible to the best of our knowledge and ability. However, catalog descriptions are to some extent interpretive. Please be sure to read the ENTIRE description, and be sure to view the photos, as they are also considered part of the description.
