St George PinOK, I'm way out of my league here, but found this years ago in a box of buttons, so anything I've written here is gleaned from the internet. As I note below, I cannot "grade" the piece with an experts knowledge, but just explain the condition in my own terms. Please bid with this in mind and know I accept returns without question.This 1821 coin is of St. George, wearing a helmet and cape and holding a sword, on horseback facing right. Below the horse is a fallen dragon.On the coin side is the Laureate head of the King, facing left. Right under his neck in tiny letters are the artist's initials - B.P. - Beredetto Pistrucci. These letters you can make out, although the B. is not as clear as the P.The enamel background is a dark indigo blue and the cape is red. I do not deal in coins so I would not begin to offer an educated guess as to how to describe the wear this coin has. My uneducated guess is that it has a lot of wear and shows its age. The pin looks far better in the picture than in person. I could not capture the flaws when taking the picture. There is a gouge in the blue enamel between the tail of the horse and the hooves. I did not attempt to clean the coin.Around the coin is: Georgius IIII D:G: Britaniar: Rex F:D. Although not all of this is visible due to the pin back. The pin is approximately 1.5". with an
