Gazetteer Of New Hampshire Farmer, John and Jacob B. Moore . A Gazetteer Of The State Of New-Hampshire . Concord: Published By Jacob B. Moore, 1832. 12mo. 276pp; eight single-page plates, one folding map bound in front. Contemporary full mottled calf; red morocco title label. Boards slightly warped; modest rubbing and wear. Previous owner (1848) has pasted a table of distances to the front paste-down (Lebanon to Lyme...12); contents bit browned, some plates heavily so, title offset, folding map probably later color but reasonably well executed. Inscription on ffep reads "John Ordronaux - Dart. Coll. 1846." The destroyer USS Ordronaux (DD-617) of the United States Navy was named for John Ordronaux (1778-1841), a French-born American Privateer during the War of 1812.
