1829 SGD. Revolutionary War Vet. & Waterville ME Pioneer ASA REDINGTON Law Book Description NO RESERVE! Fresh from a Maine home, we are pleased to offer this signed ASA REDINGTON 1829 leather bound law book titled "SELECTION OF PLEADINGS IN CIVIL ACTIONS WITH OCCASIONAL ANNOTATION " by Joseph Story. Asa Redington (1761-1845) was a Corporal in the 1st New Hampshire Regiment. He served three enlistments in the American Revolutionary War and he is a KNOWN member of GEORGE WASHINGTON'S elite Commander-in-Chief's Honor Guard. After the war, Asa became an early WATERVILLE, MAINE settler. He developed the water rights at Ticonic Falls, where he and his sons (Samuel & William) established a sucessful flour mill along the banks of the Kennebec River. In 1927 the Redington home became The Redington Museum, which is on the National Register of Historical Places. The book's title page is boldly signed in ink "A. Redington - Chapman & Chapman" along with a printed "Asa Redington, Augusta" cut tag that is pasted onto the page. The book is a second edition written by Joseph Story with additions by Benjamin L. Oliver. The book was published by CARTER AND HENDEE of Boston and it has 709 numbered pages. T he book measures 10'' x 6 1/2''. CONDITION: The book is complete and overall in excellent condition.
