1837 MISSISSIPPI & ALABAMA RAILROAD COMPANY CHECK
Sold For:
This auction consists of two old 1800's dated paper check payments that have been glued ? to a block of stained wood. I suspect t is probably a coat of varnish over the entire piece. One check is for "1000 Dollars" from The Mississippi & Alabama Railroad Company dated Oct 1, 1837 and made out to A. Harris. The other is a check for "1000 Dollars" from New Orleans Canal Banking Co or Canal Bank "paid to the bearer on command" dated August 1846. Block of wood measures approx 10 1/4" x 12". The checks are in great condition---no tears. Buyer to pay exact shipping cost. Thanks for looking! View Similar Items |
