Sir Charles Augustus Murray (1806-1895) was a British diplomat and author who traveled in North America in 1834-1836, spending time among the Pawnee Tribe in 1835. Sabin 51490 tells us “This is the first and best edition of a most interesting work, by an intelligent observer of the peculiarities of the Pawnees, before they had been modified by contact with the whites”. Murray also accounts for his visit to Cuba and the Azore Islands. Historic.
