How exciting it is to have this art piece up for bids! You can find one similar to this only not quite as old on selling for $175 at a good deal! The item is a truly antique silver Victorian brides basket circa 1840! Wow! It is silver and numbered 3502! This is NOT a reproduction! This art piece is manufactured by Reed & Barton which is a 183 year old company. It is still in Taunton, Mass. founded in 1824 as Babbitt & Crossman. In 1834 Reed & Barton bought the business. If you research antiques such as this one you will see they are selling between 300 and 2200$ but the rarities sell for over $8000! Wow! This one is priced to move as a summer clearance sale event item! Don't let it pass you by...it will go back up in price! This basket has 2 large etched spring boquets and ornate leaf design with ribbons and gorgeous etched rim and around the base are the connecting circles. Some people choose to replate their baskets and you could do that and it would be mint and sell again for major money. You could even sell it on and make a lot of money! Can you just imagine the bride coming down the aisle with her flowers in this absolutely exquisite basket! Oh my! I hope my daughter and grand-daughters use one of these at their wedding! An incredible way of passing an heirloom of something old, borrowed and tradition! T is more cleaning read more
