No Reserve on this item. This is a rare antique original John Atmore and Sons Mincemeat and Plum Pudding Co. Bucket from Philadelphia, Pa. He established his business as a descendant from English settlers in 1842 until 1879. This pail is in good condition. It has its original label on the front, and stamped on information on the lid . The pail has been kept in good condition because of two metal bands that hold all the wooden pieces together. This was a pail used to age the "Keystone" brand mincemeat (20 lbs.) with brandy over time. The only damage to this over the years, that I can see, is the wood on the bottom of one side edge has been worn with time. However, the bucket otherwise remains in good condition, and is a part of American Business History. The Boston News contains articles about this particular business if you Google Robert Atmore and Sons Mincemeat and Plum Pudding Business of Philadelphia, Pa. Dimensions are: 11 1/4 inches in circumference at the base, 10 inches high (without the metal and wood handle up), by 10 inches in circumference at the top. Nice piece of Americana.
