Up for bidding is a nice vintage sampler from the year 1843.Wow older then 150 years, but look at the condition, still good. You can make out all the detail. It has different alphabet styles, numbers,a great border, birds in trees and eating fruit, acorns,a cooking pot, flower ,some kind of thophy...Nice active sampler.Says "Rebecca Wilsons sampler made in the 19th year of her age 1843"Colors are still pretty good some frading that is normal for this age and some aging to the fabric;but a very nice sampler to add to any collection NO RESERVE update /studying this style of sampler/it has strong Pennsyvania influence possibly Chester County area. The reason for this is first the gold or yellow and blue theme style.Next the acorn border. Also the willow trees and birds in the trees. The Urn bowl etc.. give this ties with this area.Studying other samplers with these characters show it to be probably from Penn. area. Also the last pic has a small hole in the sampler check that pic/thanks
