OLIVER CROMWELL’S LETTERS AND SPEECHES, with elucidations, by Thomas Carlyle, in 2 volumes (complete SET) published by Chapman & Hall, 1845. Hard covers with leather spines and corners, Volume 1: 522 pages. First few pages are heavily stained, small owner mark to title pages, a few other minor marks, minor blemishes and very light foxing, minor cover wear with more to edges. Back cover has heavy scuffing along the bottom. V II in better condition with light foxing, minor marks and blemishes, minor cover wear with more to edges and slight cover scuffs.
