ESTATE FRESH! WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET! It is the real deal and not a fake reproduction or a copy. It will not ship with glass. The glass was broken and we removed it from the frame. It doe come with its original frame and wood backing. Framed it measures about 16 1/8" x 12 1/8". Un-framed the print measures about 10 1/16" x 14 1/16". The actual lithograph image measures about 8 1/8" x 12 1/2". It has foxing and dark spots in the white areas from age. It is not faded and has no tears or holes. It can be kept as is or sent out for a cleaning. Published by N. Currier, 152 Nassau St., N.Y., 1847. Detailed battle scene of the war with Mexico at Cerro Gordo; a mountain pass in Eastern Mexico between Veracruz and Jalapa. Details of the battle are printed below the title: "The troops ascended the long and difficult slope of Cerro Gordo without shelter, and under the tremendous fire of artillery and musketry, with the utmost steadiness, reached the breastworks, drove the enemy from them, planted the colors of the 1st Artillery, 3d and 7th Infantry -- the enemy's flag still flying -- and after some minutes of sharp firing, finished the conquest with the bayonet.
