1847 Rogers Bros FIRST LOVE 62 Pcs Serves 11 MUST HAVE!

We are pleased to offer 62 pieces of silverplated flatware in the coveted First Love pattern by 1847 Rogers Brothers. Introduced in 1937, this pattern is classified as "collectible" by Tere Hagan in Silverplated Flatware, Revised Fourth Edition. The winning bidder will receive the following: eleven 8 1/2-inch hollow handle grille or viande knives with stainless steel blades, twelve 7 5/8-inch grille or viande forks, twelve 7 3/8-inch tablespoons or oval soup spoons, twelve 6 3/4-inch salad or dessert forks, twelve 6 1/8-inch teaspoons, one 8 3/8-inch serving spoon, one 6 3/4-inch master butter knife, and one 6-inch sugar spoon. That's eleven 5-piece place settings, plus the serving spoon, sugar spoon, and master butter knife! Knife blades are marked "1847 Rogers Bros Stainless". All other pieces are marked "1847 Rogers Bros." and "I S". This set shows its age. We note tiny specks of plate loss on the edges of most of the spoons and forks, near the handles. We also note a tiny bit of plate loss toward the ends of some grille or viande fork tines and a few scratches and t on the tines. Finally, we note a bit of plate wear on the rims of the spoons and wear at the ends of all of the tablespoon bowls, more extensive on two of them. If you're looking for a well-love set with a lovely patina and don't mind signs of age, you'll be very pleased with this set, which is still very presentable.
