1847 Rogers Bros. "Vintage" Grape Pattern Flatware Set

Up for auction is the 1904 "Vintage" Grape Pattern Flatware Set. The 1847 Rogers Bros. Vintage Grape pattern was introduced in 1904, the first of a series of grape patterns. The pattern was in production until about 1918, with new pieces being added to the line from time to time. The Vintage grape pattern is one of the most hightly collectible patterns today. The flatware is in good condition for its age. Some of the flatware pieces have ware spots from w the piece rests, some of the tablespoons are worn at the top of the spoon bowl w they have been used, the knives have plate loss (the blades are the origional blades) and some of the fork prongs are slightly bent , but can be bent back into shape. The measurements are as close as I can get them. The size will not be the origional due to years of use. I did a light cleaning to these pieces. I am leaving it up to you to do the extensive cleaning. This 47 piece set consists of: 6 - 9 7/8" Dinner Knives, 7 - 7 1/2" Dinner Forks (6-A1, 1-xs triple), 6 - 6" teaspoons (5-xs triple, 1-xs quintuple), 13 - 8 3/16" Tablespoons (9-xs triple, 4-xs quintuple), 6 - 4 5/8" (3-xs triple, 3-A1), 1 - 7 1/2" Tomato Server (xs triple), 1 - 9 7/8" Pastry Server/Ice Cream Knife (Monogram -B), 6 - 6"-6 1/4" Pastry Forks (all xs triple), 3 - 6 3/16" Cocktail Forks (2-A1, 1-xs triple), 2 - 7 1/8" Twiste Handle Butter Knives (xs triple), 1 - 6 3/16" Individual butter spreader (xs triple), 3 - 6 1/16" Sugar Spoons (xs triple), 1 - 8 3/4" Berry Spoon (A1), 1 - 10 1/2" Soup Ladle (xs triple), 2 - 6 7/8" Gravy Ladles (xs triple), 1 - 6 5/8" Cheese Server (Monogram B), 1 - 4 1/2" Sugar Tong (xs triple), 1 - 8 3/8" Olive Spoon-Fork (Pat. Oct.27, 1903 - xs triple), 1 - 7 3/8" Cake Fork (xs triple), 1 - 9 3/8" Pie Knife (xs triple), 6 - 7 1/16" Round bowl Gumbo Spoons (5-xs triple, 1-A1), 2 - 8 1/4" Cold Meat Forks (xs triple), 1 - 8 5/8" Salad Serving Fork/Fish Fork (A1), 1 - 5 1/2" Youth Spoon (xs triple), 1 - 6 1/8" Youth Fork (xs triple), 1 - 7 3/8" Youth Knife (xs triple), 1 - 3 1/2" Bent Handle Baby Spoon (xs triple), 1 - 4 3/8" Food Pusher (xs triple). I am also putting with this set a very useful book on "The Vintage Pattern" by Nancy Gluck. This book describes each piece of flatware, pictures what the piece looks like, gives size range, other names for the piece, and what the shape is similar to. Plus other useful information. I prefer PayPal as method of payment, but will accept money orders or cashier checks. Insurance is optional, but I do recommend it....I am not responsible for lost or damaged items once I have mailed them. I try to describe items to the best of my ability.
