1848 Illus Billhead, Leavitt, Trow Co, Early US Publish Billhead of Leavitt, Trow & Co., 49 Ann Street, NY. They were one of the earliest American publishing companies, Leavitt having been a bookbinder, Trow a printer. They were booksellers who advertising that they supplied public and private libraries.
