Handsome 1849 hardcover volume -- A BIOGRAPHICAL AND CRITICAL DICTIONARY OF PAINTERS AND ENGRAVERS WITH THE CIPHERS, MONOGRAMS AND MARKS, USED BY EACH ENGRAVER, by Michael Bryan. Features a steel engraved portrait of the author at frontis, and nine engraved plates, followed by 938 pages of alphabetically arranged information on painters and engravers through history. A valuable book for reference purposes which I should probably keep for my own use, but, no, I’m in selling mode…..
