ANACS graded 1849 Braided Hair Half Cent, Large Date with Rotated Dies. As you can see from the last two pictures, t is about 80-85% rotation of dies. Truly a rare coin, only 39,864 minted for the entire year, no idea on the rarity of this particular variety. ANACS graded this EF 45 Details, Damaged-Cleaned. T are two short, slightly deep scratches/digs in the obverse field around 8 o'clock. A much lighter short scratch in the field around 9 o'clock on the obverse. Two small dings on Liberty's neck, another on her eyebrow. To the naked eye, t is darkness in the area of the date which does not show very clearly in the pictures. T is weakness in the date which I presume is due to striking, I don't know if this is normal for this particularly variety. I've tried my best to capture all this in the pictures. Personally, I think overall it is a very attractive coin, I hope you do, too. The coin pictured is the one you will receive.Accepting payment through PayPal only.
