This is an 1850 Foot Officer Sword with an Eagle on the pommel of the grip. A nice presentation grade piece. The blade has some pitting and discoloration due to age. THe engraving along the blade is flags and foliage. The scabbard is split at the bottom and the drag is not original to the scabbard. The blade is 31 inches long and overall it is 37 3/4 inches.
