This is an untouched nice Domestic US Made 1850 US Staff and Field Officer Sword used during the civil war. This sword has a 100% of its original twisted wire and shark skin on the grip. There is some minor discoloration due to age on the 33 inch blade. The blade was finely etched and is still sharply visible. Most likely a really used piece during the war. A fine addition to any collection. There is an original steel scabbard with brass fittings. Some dents and a cut in the scabbard but still in one piece and solid.
