This is one of 2 antique counters available for sale in a 1853 store building located in Altona, Illinois 61414 on U.S. hywy #34 between the Quad Cities and Peoria, Illinois.The counter has a refinished old walnut top that was lovingly restored by the previous owners of the antique shop.Size of the LONGER one at the middle of the shop is: 32 in. height by 18 feet long by 34 in. in depth by the walnut top dimensions. The Base is on a black painted molding with elaborate molding from the black base up to the beautiful walnut top with an antique finish as mentioned above! You will love the molding and the seller hopes to add pictures of this counter and the other SHORTER (11 ft.) one soon. Presently the counters are covered with antiques, display cases, etc. so these items would have to be moved first. There are also a line of antique reed organs in front of both counters.There is one long shelf on this counter for storage. There is also a neat metal paper roll holder with the wide counter wrapping paper with it. There is also an old cash drawer that probably was made the same time as the counter which is c.1850. The cash register is for sale separately. You will not find another counter like this in this condition and over 150 years old!!!
