Thanks for visiting my listings. This item is just Stunning!!! It is an Antique (circa 1850) Old Paris Porcelain Ink Well or desk set.My guess is it was most definatly for a lady since it has a flower and butterfly on the top.This lovely piece measures 7 1/4" long,4 3/4" wide at it widest and 3 1/3" tall.Beautiful gold work on it.The gold around the top edge and around the fairing cups is slightly worn.The rose on top of the center piece looks good as is but is chipped slightly around the outer edges of the petals.You can't really see it but you can feel it.T is 1 firing crack on the top at one end.This was done in the making process not post production.One of the holes for pens has been slightly chipped at some point and colored over.I have pictured it for you.It is the only damage you can actually see!I really tend to make things sound worse than they actually are BUT I want NO suprises when it arrives.The only marking I could find on this piece was inside of one of the fairing cups and it is pictured as well.This is just a Beautiful Stunning piece and would make a great gift for the collector!!
