This is a Victorian blank book, with writing on 12 pages and illustrated with a few plates. The writing is mostly poetry or quotations, some signed by the person who wrote them. The first poem was written in Rockville Connecticut in 1851; another was written in Wright NY; others in Enfield and East Granby CT.
This is a hardcover book with a leather spine. The binding is badly shaken and the front hinge is cracked. Several signatures (that is, groups of pages) are separating from each other. Otherwise condition is good. I am listing other hand-written items this week so please take a look at my other auctions. Please email with any questions before bidding.
