Offering for your consideration, this beautiful 1850's china head doll. At 29" tall, she is a large doll. Her china head is topped by midnight colored molded sausage curls falling from a center part. Blushing apple cheeks accent her lovely eyes which have red eyeliner. This doll's head is in excellent condition, with a deep, three hole shoulder plate. There is one tiny ding right on the tip of her nose, only noticable on very close inspection. The body is cloth and is also in excellent condition. Her forearms and hands are kid and are a little scuffed commiserate with her age. Long black stockings are sewn on. The owner believes her clothes to be original, but cannot say for certain. At any rate, they are very, very old. Her costume consists of dress, slip, bloomers and one shoe. We asked the doll what happened to the other one, but she wouldn't say a word...
