This is a 6th plate size daguerreotype of a young lady with curled hair. She is wearing a print dress with a cloth shawl over her shoulders. There are ruffles along the edges of the shawl. She is also wearing fingerless lace gloves. Photo was taken right around 1853-58. It is in a half case. There are some light surface wipes and small scratches, but these show as much in person as they do in the scan. Good contrast and depth. Overall size: 3 ¼” x 3 ¾”. Case has a few scuffs. No photographer or location identified. THE FINE PRINT: Buyer pays $3.50 for shipping/handling. Will send priority mail for an additional charge. To decrease buyer’s postage costs, I will gladly combine items won over a 7 day period. BUYER’S PROTECTION: Satisfaction guaranteed! Purchase price (minus postage and listing fees) refunded if item returned in original condition within 7 days of auction end. Payment expected within 7 days from end of auction. Item sent promptly upon receipt of payment.
