Superb c1850s original/vintage 1/6 plate occupational ambrotype of a young man wearing a machinists apron operating some type of machine with gears.He sposts a fancy vest and tie and holds a pair of pliers on the device. There is a lock of light brown hair ,which I assume is the subjects,attached by a ribbon on the velvet pad. Perhaps ,some day in the future,you replicate or clone the subject utilizing his hair DNA and he could tell us what this contraption is !
