Up for Auction: ANTIQUE TIN TYPE PHOTO OF COUPLE LEATHER CASE 1850's :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Case: L eather / wood and felt. Very good condition for it's age. T are some rub marks on raised areas. Corners also have rub marks. Clasp intack no hinge thou, I do not know if t was any hinges no screw holes for any. Red felt has some aging to it at edges. No odors Matting: HOLMES BOOTH HAYDENS SUPERFINE, WATERBURY, CONN No.46 these markings are on metal matting. Good condition cannot tell you if it's gold plate. Picture: Older couple as you can see by picture. Upon taking picture out to get the markings corners of picture are not perfect when it was made as you can see in picture #11 T are no markings on back of who the photagrapher was. T was a piece of paper that stated the man was born in N.Y. City in 1808 and the woman was born in Hooper Co. Ind. in 1812 I am putting it in 1850's due to the fact that Holmes and Booth started business in 1853. Photo could be earlier.
