1859 1C MS65 PCGS. The 1859 Indian cent retains its popularity as the first year of the Indian cent design and the only year with the laurel wreath reverse. This is a lovely, upper-end example that retains much of the original "whiteness" of the copper-nickel alloy with just a hint of reddish patina also present. The striking details are strong throughout, and the only surface flaw we see is a tiny, shallow planchet flake out of the top of the second feather on the headdress. From The Good Harbour Bay Collection. Grade: 65, Service: PCGS, Service No.: 2052, Issue Date: 1859, Denomination: 1C
